I am writing to tell my experience with Walter’s Walk. I was referred to this office by a former caseworker after being diagnosed with PTSD and depression. I was truly impressed from the front door to the therapist’s office. I was afraid, confused, and didn’t know what was going on with me; all I knew was I wasn’t the same. I couldn’t leave my house, everything outside my front door was a horrible place and this was new to me. The therapist talked with me and there was something about her approach that I knew that I was going to be okay. One visit to Walter’s Walk and I was finally properly diagnosed. I was worried about how I was going to afford therapy; I was uninsured and on disability. I needed to be here to get help. Once I found out that it was a non-profit organization, I was thrilled. I could get the help I needed and my lack of insurance wasn’t an issue, I could concentrate on getting better. Walter’s Walk has been a godsend to me. They offer so many services and for minimal donations to heal the whole person. I don’t know what I would have done or what kind of care I would have received if it wasn’t for Walter’s Walk. Thank you Walter’s Walk for all you do for people of all walks of life!
